About Our Guest: 

Dr. Sarah Wakefield is a fellowship-trained child and adolescent and forensic psychiatrist. She is board-certified in general, child/adolescent, and forensic psychiatry and also has a perinatal psychiatry practice. Dr. Wakefield is licensed to practice medicine in Texas. Dr. Wakefield believes in a patient-focused, multi-disciplinary approach utilizing the latest technologies and evidence-based treatments. She is active in the AACAP Foster and Adoption Committee and Children and the Law Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium. A native of Terrell, Texas, Dr. Wakefield enjoys travel, tennis, and spending time with her family.
